Unanimous decision. Mitchell brought heavy pressure and a third-round slam, but Musumeci answered with back control and a late armbar attempt. All three judges sided with Musumeci.
Mason Fowler vs Nick Rodriguez
Split draw. Fowler threatened the back early, then Rodriguez pressed the pace with passes and late choke pressure. Fowler retains the UFC BJJ light heavyweight title.
Aurelie Le Vern def. Rana Willink
Unanimous decision. Le Vern controlled the scrambles and kept threatening submissions through three rounds, while Willink answered with a late leg attack.
Jay Rodriguez def. Kevin Beuhring
Inverted D’Arce choke, round 2 (2:54). J-Rod returned to the Bowl, took mount and found the finish before an emotional thank-you to his team, family and friends.
Pedro Machado def. Lucas Norat
Unanimous decision. Machado piled on armbar threats and back attacks. Norat escaped the deepest attempts, but Machado’s offense carried the cards.
Jordan Holy def. Ryan Elgarico
Unanimous decision. Elgarico threatened an anaconda in the opening round; Holy raised the pace and took control over the final two.
Mason Stritzel def. Seve Zazueta
Heel hook, round 2 (4:06). The UFC BJJ Open standout secured a deep finish and received his brown belt Bowl side.
Daniel Deeder def. Kolby Gonzalez
Kimura, round 3 (2:20). Another UFC BJJ Open qualifier made his mark, catching Gonzalez in a deep submission for the stoppage and a knarly arm break that let out a "pop" that filled the Apex. OUCH! All the best for Kolby's full and speedy recovery
