From veterans making waves to breakout performances, this card did more than entertain. It offered a look at where the promotion may be headed.

Andrew Tackett Submits Renato Canuto to Retain Welterweight Title

Andrew Tackett entered the event as the welterweight champion and left with his title intact. Renato Canuto opened the bout with an aggressive blast double-leg takedown and threatened with a Kimura. Tackett responded by transitioning through side control and north-south before locking in a D’Arce choke. Once he rolled to mount, the submission was secured.

Following the bout, Tackett issued an open challenge to anyone at 170 pounds who believes they can take the title from him.

Mason Fowler Becomes Light Heavyweight Champion with First-Round RNC

Mason Fowler became the inaugural UFC BJJ light heavyweight champion after submitting David Garmo via rear-naked choke. The match began with Fowler executing an ankle pick that led to side control. From there, he transitioned to Garmo’s back and secured the choke.

After the match, Fowler mentioned Pedro Machado, Lucas “The Hulk” Barbosa, and Devonte Johnson as potential opponents, making it clear he is ready for high-level title defenses.

William Tackett Starts Strong with Rear-Naked Choke Finish

William Tackett opened his UFC BJJ run with a first-round victory over Kyle Chambers. Tackett navigated Chambers’ lengthy guard and eventually forced a scramble that led to back control and a successful rear-naked choke finish.

Raquel Canuto Secures First-Round Kneebar

Raquel Canuto defeated Mo Black with a kneebar submission in the first round. Black initiated the grappling exchange with a body lock takedown, but Canuto countered effectively, attacking the leg mid-transition and finishing the submission.

Kennedy Maciel Outpoints Ademir Barreto Over Three Rounds

Kennedy Maciel earned a unanimous decision victory over Ademir Barreto. The first round featured several leg lock exchanges, though action stalled at times. Maciel controlled much of the second round with positional dominance and submission threats, including a D’Arce choke attempt. In the third round, he remained active from top position and attempted a kneebar and face crank as time expired.

Auréllie Le Vern Wins Debut with Americana Submission

Auréllie Le Vern made a strong debut, defeating Maggie Lira by Americana in the first round. Le Vern initially threatened with a guillotine, then transitioned to half-guard before securing the submission.

Tammi Musumeci Adds to the Family Legacy

Tammi Musumeci showed that grappling excellence runs deep in the family. Against Leilani Bernales, Tammi controlled position, attacked submissions, and secured a unanimous decision after three rounds. Back control, leg lock attempts, and consistent offense kept her ahead throughout.

Jalen Fonacier Lives Up to the Hype

At just nineteen years old, the 1st Filipino-American, Jalen Fonacier showed why he’s earned the nickname “The Future.” He attacked quickly, got to the legs, and finished Everton Teixeira with a vicious inside heel hook early in the first round. It was a fast and clinical win that put the lightweight division on notice.
