Currently the debate rages between sport jiu-jitsu and traditional jiu-jitsu in terms of effectiveness in a real life situation. Back in the 1930’s, 1933 to be exact Miss May Whitley demonstrates a number of throws and submissions from a would-be attacker. The film was shot at the Trocadero theater in London in 1933.
