The Professional Grappling Federation closed out Season 8 in style last night. Fans saw new champions emerge, pioneers recognized, and a clear path laid out for the future of the sport as PGF athletes now step directly into UFC BJJ.

New Champions

Lightweight Division
Jett Thompson went the distance. After quick finishes in the early rounds, he edged Dominic Mejia in the final with a ride-time decision in overtime. It was a display of both composure and grit, earning him the lightweight crown and a ticket to UFC BJJ.

Women’s Featherweight Division
Maka Vickers made her presence known in dominant fashion. She locked up a triangle to kimura finish on Ally Wolski to claim the women’s featherweight title. Vickers’ sharp win not only crowned her champion but also secured her place on the next UFC BJJ stage.

Hall of Fame Inductions

Before the finals, PGF introduced its Jiu-Jitsu Hall of Fame and inducted two legends who embody the sport’s foundation: Royce Gracie and Carlos Machado.

Royce spoke with humility: “It wasn’t me. You never saw me fighting. You saw the technique. Thanks to my uncle Carlos and my father. I was just a product of their work.”
